Mushpot Cave, measuring 770 feet (235 meters) in length, stands as an ideal choice for those seeking an accessible introduction to cave exploration. Distinguished as one of the "Least Challenging Caves," it holds a unique distinction within the park, being the sole cave equipped with lighting and informative signs that elucidate the cave's geological formations, ecological features, and the cave's distinct climate. While the cave is well-illuminated, it's advisable to bring supplementary lighting and maintain caution regarding head clearance for a safe and enjoyable experience. This is only one of many discovered caves in Lava Beds National Monument.
