Heppe Cave Trail

Embark on a 0.9-mile out-and-back trail in Lava Beds National Monument, with a gentle elevation gain of 88 ft. Typically considered an easy route, it can be completed in about 21 minutes. Ideal for hiking and walking, this path provides solitude amidst tall Ponderosa pines, mountain mahogany thickets, and juniper trees.
