Denny Creek Historical Monument

This bronze historical marker is placed on a native stone boulder by the Daughters of the American Revolution to mark where John C. Fremont camped on his second journey of exploration in May of 1846 and was attacked by a group of Native Americans, losing three men for one of whom he named the stream.
