The festivities kick off with the Snowflake Festival Tree Lighting on December 4th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Klamath Commons Park in Downtown Klamath Falls. This event is a spectacle of lights and joy, where the community gathers to witness the lighting of the city's Christmas tree. Meet-and-greets with Santa and the Snowflake Princesses add a magical touch to the evening, making it an ideal event for families to begin their holiday season in Klamath Falls. Feel the holiday spirit come alive as the tree sparkles to life, illuminating the night with thousands of twinkling lights.

Meet Santa

Santa Claus is coming to town, and in Klamath Falls, there are numerous opportunities to meet him. 2023 highlights include "Cookies and Milk with Santa" at the Fairfield Inn and Suites on December 6th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and another chance to meet Santa at the Klamath County Library - Downtown Klamath Falls branch on December 10th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. From November 29th to December 8th, the gingerbread houses will be on display in the theater's lobby windows. The winners will be announced on December 9th at 11 a.m. during a special award ceremony, making it a festive event for participants and viewers alike. Performances and Entertainment

The Ross Ragland Theater is the hub for holiday performances, including the timeless "Nutcracker" ballet, with shows on November 26th and December 3rd. Beyond programming at the Ragland, the Living Nativity will be presented by Westside Community Church at Mountain Valley Gardens from December 9th to 15th, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Additionally, the Ugly Sweater Run on December 2nd at 9:00 am at Harbor Links is a fun and spirited way to celebrate the season in your most colorful holiday attire. Join the community in these lively runs, where laughter and cheers fill the air, making fitness a joyous part of the holiday festivities.

The Snowflake Parade, the centerpiece of the Snowflake Festival, takes place this year on December 7th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm along Main Street. This parade is a dazzling display of community spirit, lights, and holiday cheer, drawing crowds from all over to witness this festive tradition. Experience the thrill as floats adorned with lights and festive decorations parade down the street, bringing the community together in a spectacular celebration of the holiday spirit.

The Bill Collier Ice Arena offers a festive skating experience throughout the holiday season, including a special "Christmas Skate-Pictures with Santa" event on December 23rd from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. It's a perfect way to enjoy the holiday spirit on ice. Glide across the rink to the sound of Christmas music, feeling the crisp winter air and the joy of the season with every turn and twirl.

Christmas Lights and Decorations

The holiday season lights up the night with festive displays that are a delight for all ages. Eulalona Park leads the way with its impressive light show, featuring animal shapes and Christmas figures that brighten the winter evenings. In Downtown Klamath Falls, Klamath Commons Park, dazzles with its array of lights and a grand Christmas tree. The journey of lights continues through Downtown Klamath Falls, where Main Street is lined with snowflake lights, adding a charming touch to the local shops and restaurants, each contributing to the holiday spirit with its own decorations. The festive ambiance extends to Sugarman's Corner Park and City Hall, where holiday trees are beautifully lit, creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents and visitors alike. Adding to the festive spirit, the Bonanza Hometown Holiday Celebration is a must-visit event, renowned as the largest light display in Klamath County. Scheduled for December 4th, this event in Bonanza brings the community together with a dazzling light parade starting at 5 pm along Highway 70, followed by the annual park lighting, which illuminates the night with more lights than ever before. Earlier in the day, from 1-5 pm, children can meet Santa at the Bonanza Fire Hall, adding to the day's excitement.
