Documentary & Discussion: Resistance at Tule Lake

January 17, 2019 5:30pm–7:00pm

Klamath County Library

126 South Third Street, Klamath Falls

The downtown Klamath County Library’s latest Documentary and Discussion centers on a little-known aspect of the imprisonment of Japanese-Americans during World War II: Resistance at Tule Lake on Thursday, January 17th at 5:30 pm.

History has often painted Japanese-Americans incarcerated during World War II as having accepted their fates without protest. But an incident at Tule Lake Segregation Center in Modoc and Siskiyou counties in California – where thousands advocated for safer conditions at the camp – proves that there's more to the commonly-accepted narrative.

Resistance at Tule Lake is unrated and runs for 1 hour, 18 minutes.
