This deliciously wicked comedy follows two very different sisters as they get themselves in a bit of a pickle with an old high school boyfriend, a chaotic church social, and a secret family recipe.

The scene is picturesque Christmastime in Michigan. Things start off with two sisters each awaiting the arrival of someone the other doesn’t want to see. Sweet, compliant, cheerful Norma is waiting for her husband, Mel to come home. Mel, the local bailiff who is locally notorious for his homemade sausage recipe, openly hates Norma’s sister Wanda. Chaotic Wanda has arrived to borrow money because she just hired a not-bright local thug and ex-classmate named Paulie Perkins to “send a message” to her cheating boyfriend, Dutch. Understandably nervous, Norma is baking for the town’s annual Baby Jesus Memorial Brunch while the uninvited, unwelcome Wanda roars and plows her way across the place like a steam train while she waits for Paulie to report back after “taking care of” her no-good boyfriend.

And thus is set a grand misunderstanding and series of events that plays itself out in the living room of Norma and Mel’s house as the sisters try to reconcile past (and present) mistakes, deal with a church lady who’s dropped in to help make peanut butter balls, and keep Mel from killing Wanda.
