Hike on the OC&E set for Saturday The Klamath County Museum will offer a history hike on a section of the OC&E Woods Line State Trail at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. The free event begins at Olene. A one-mile out-and-back hike will be offered, as well as an option for an extended hike of about five miles with a shuttle back to the parking area provided. The hike is part of a commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the trail on the old Oregon, California and Eastern Railroad line. Other activities include an open house at the Weyerhaeuser snowplow that is a static display at Olene. Saturday’s event is sponsored by Collier Memorial State Park, in partnership with the Museum and the YMCA of Klamath Falls. |
