Glenda Lehrman Native American and Scenic art exhibit Reception and show

September 10, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Paintings by local artist Glenda Lehrman are on exhibit through September and October at the Klamath County Museum’s Modoc Gallery.

An opening reception for the show runs from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10.

“Faces of The People and All That They Cherish” is the theme of Lehrman’s exhibition.

Lehrman, who is of Shasta Indian descent, was a partner at Gallery 803 in Klamath Falls for several years. She is most widely known for portraits of Native Americans in oil or pastels.

She has created portraits of people and their pets on commission, finding it rewarding to capture life-like qualities in humans and pets alike. Lehrman said she especially enjoys doing portraits as a way to get to know many interesting people.

She has works on exhibit at the Old West Museum in Cheyenne, Wyo., and at the Sisson Museum in Mount Shasta.

Entrance to the museum’s Modoc Gallery is free during regular museum hours, which are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

For more information contact the museum at (541) 882-1000.
